Day 1 Array

Day 1 spent at home.

Had the best night sleep ever last night. Don't know if it was due to the comfort of sleeping in my old room, seeing my family, being really epically tired, or... I don't know. Woke up with a random feeling... - feeling of being safe.

Safe. I think I like that word.

Anyway... the day was cloudy and rainy, what looked like 8am was actually 11am. Have not slept so much since uni started probably. Intense good slumber. Yum. So, now that it was 11, it was time to get ready to go out.

Every Tuesday Mum volunteers at this nursing home in Rossmoyne, and I've always wanted to go with her to help out. It was a fantastic experience. I fed an old lady, Julie... and sang songs with Theresa. It was really quite... exhilarating. The people there were all very lovely, the carers beautiful people. The old folks there... well, some were very debilitated so there wasn't much said. Theresa was the most optimistic person I've met in a while... and she told me stories from her teenage years. So cute. Soooo cute. Couldn't even really leave because she had so much to tell me! Her smile made my day.

Her smile can make anyone's day.

After that... we came home and had lunch with Dad. Then... our shopping trip for ingredients to embark on our cooking adventure was pleasantly interrupted by Allen. My little uncle. Haven't seen him in... maybe 8 years or so? He came back to Australia to continue his study... he will be leaving to Sydney soon. Today he stopped by to catch up. It was awesome. Mum made a humongous banquet for him. Man... my weight loss goal for these holidays is totally out the window. I shall persist and still try. I'm quite determined this time. Though interesting... I just read something about Aussie men liking size 14 women the most in terms of body size... so... figure.

He stayed from the arvo all the way till night, and even went to visit my Grandma. Sweet stuff. So we haven't been able to do much today. I sorted out fundraising chocolates though, ready to sell over these holidays so that our crew can survive. Sigh. Even our crew is undergoing an economic crisis. Teehee. Not too serious hopefully... we just need more paying performances.

So now that everything has sort of winded down... I'm back in front of the computer writing away. Ahhh... love writing. Been hearing my Bro practice guitar... it's a beautiful sound. Especially awesome when the electric beats get on. Fender FTW.

A bit disappointing that there has not been many photos taken lately to enable me to upload. I know... plain writing can get a bit dull. Oh well... once this Saturday is over... pictures aplenty will be posted. Teehee.

Thought of the day: Should've brought my laptop. I crave my music.

Hui Hui ^^b
